I used Quark daily over three years for the design of a college newspaper. The program is a dream. It's a large program that won't run perfectly on older Macs, but it's well worth the RAM it hogs. Quark Xpress 4 (and its newer versions) are the industry standard, and for good reason.

As a Graphic Designer I can honestly tell you that Quark is the choice to go for if you plan to foray into the professional world of advertising and media. Quite simply, EVERYONE USES IT.

I can guarantee that just about every professional designer out there does their layouts and publications in this program, every magazine, newspaper, billboard, flyer all the way to CD & DVD covers, are done in this program.

In this edition, Quark has thoughtfully added a bunch of features which gives a few less headaches to worry about, like the addition of bezier lines, freehand lines, the ability to fit text to path (no longer limited to straight lines only).

Also you have Quarks continued ease-of-use and simple, easy to follow menus, commands and options. Even a new user should be able to master the basics within a couple of hours of use.

If you are a new-time designer or want to upgrade your old software then I definately recommend this program.

I just installed OSX, and Quark is not able to work in the way it used to. However, even before OSX, it doesn't work in the same manner from file to file.

I've lost countless hours of work to this software! Many documents, when reopened, look different than when I saved them! What's up with that?

It took me a few months, but I finally stopped complaining that they'd screwed up XPress. Version 4.1 is light years beyond version 3.3. And, it's a whole lot better than 4.0. The new features make this program a pleasure to work with. The user interface is more intuitive than ever. And, it still beats PageMaker and InDesign by a mile.

Painter 7 is the best set of tools for a digital artist.
The natural media allows everything you can imagine.
Take the pencils or the brushes and began to paint the
world as you like.

Excellent software !!!!!!!!

Based on reviews I purchased this product just to find out from Corel that it is not compatible with Photoshop CS and Corel's own Painter 8 under OS X 10.3 (Panther). They don't even have an estimate if and when they will fix the problem.

This Photoshop plug-in is very useful, it makes selecting any kind of object a piece of cake. Improves workflow, saves time!
Everybody who is serious about design should have it.

I've used Print Explosion for several years. Makes nice cards, fancies up envelopes for holidays, etc. It's fun to use.

I love the program. It took a little playing around to get some of the CD labels to work right, but once that was taken care of it, the program works great! I highly recommend it, especially if you are in education or if you do a lot of postcards and greeting cards. Worth the money I spent...much better than Corel or Print Shop!

I am having a wonderful time with Print Explosion! There are other programs that make labels, banners, cards, and signs, but Print Explosion has some truly beautiful, artistic graphics as well as photographs available to creat really unique designs. In addition, it is very easy to import other images. The things I've made with Print Explosion do not look like they were made on a home computer. They look professional. I love this program!
