Charger and battery doesn't work
Not an Accessory for the Kodak DX 6490
Good enough for my needs1. I come from Spain, where the voltage is different, and it's usually a problem to find converters from 120V to 240V and viceversa. However, the battery charger included in this kit fulfills my expectations because a) it is a converter in itself, so it can be used with both voltage rates and b) it comes with different international adapter plugs, which means that I'll be able to use the charger in Spain as well.
2. I wanted to have rechargeable batteries. So far, I've had no problems with them. Usually, they are ready in about 2 hours. Plus, I don't have to worry about unplugging the charger after that time because it turns off on its own when the batteries are full. Regarding batteries' life, I must say that they've never failed me in the middle of any of my trips.
However, I was a little bit disappointed with the camera case: trust me, it's not big enough for any Kodak camera (at least not for any of the EasyShare models). Instead, I use it for my digital voice recorder, which is much smaller and fits well in it.
Other than that, the bag has enough room in it to carry both my camera and charger together. Besides, there are two small pockets where I can keep the batteries and the Memory Card.
In conclusion, I guess this is a good item for those of you that live somewhere between two different parts of the globe. Or for those who find yourselves travelling often around the world. On the other hand, if all that you're looking for is a good charger, I would recommend Kodak's rapid charger with 4 AA batteries.

An Amateur's New Best Friend!
Oh My God. Enough said.Like most people have said, it is in fact expensive to use... but I said it once and I'll say it again, I'll PAY the extra 30 cents a print to be able to print the photos at home, on demand, any time of day or night, and print only the ones I want. The convenience and the quality you recieve for the price of this printer are worth far more then how much you're paying per print. This is truly a necessity for any avid photographer, or anyone that loves to take pictures. It is, in a word, Incredible.
Enjoying a "printing lab" in my roomThe price for this printer dock is great. Having a "printing lab" in your room for under $150? That's pretty cool. Luckily, I received a 256 MB MC with this purchase free (about a $100 value). This printer comes with a sample pack of 10 4 x 6's. It has a sample printer cartridge. It's definitely a sample. It printed out about 10 photos before telling me I need to replace the cartridge. That being said, I recommend buying a set of 4 X 6's and color cartridge.
Speaking of which, this printer dock only prints 4 X 6 photographs. Not a problem for me, but may be for others. The Kodak printer dock 6000 prints beautiful photographs quickly. First it prints the yellows, then reds, and finally, the blues. The photo quality is superb.
Using this printer dock with my computer is a great option. I am able to print off photographs stored on my computer or edit all photographs before printing. I am not sure if this can be done without the computer, but I can also center the photographs. This way I do not lose any of the photograph while removing the perforated edges. This may not matter to some, but to me it is a very important aspect in making the images look their best.
I do not see any reason to not rate the Kodak Printer Dock 6000 less than 5 stars. If there is, I will edit my review. :)

Great features - Easy to Use!!!For the beginner photographer, it has a full auto mode and a number of special scene modes to help take great pictures. For the intermediate photographer, it has PASM modes which give you even more creative control. The movie mode is better than most cameras, but if you really want to make movies, you should probably get a camcorder.
I have only 2 complaints about the DX7440 - the lack of a superfine compression mode and the use of a proprietary battery. However, neither of these issues are too big of a deal. Hopefully Kodak will release a firmware update at some point in the future to address the superfine compression. I ended up buying 2 backup Li-Ion batteries so that should not be an issue in the future.
In conclusion, I would recommend this camera to any beginner or intermediate photographer who wants a camera that is simple and fun to use.

Best 4MP digital on the market!!!!
Wonderful Camera!!!!
ONE HECK OF A CAMERA!- PASM mode equipes you with not only full creative control of F-Stops and aperture, but also with a 16-second to 1/1000 of a second shutter speed to really keep the action shots sharp or to create a purposely fuzzy image
- Burst feature helps you really get multiple great shots at say, fireworks, or a baseball swing. This feature can shoot six photos per second!
- Ten-second timer
- Once you have focused on the image, the camera will give you warnings if you are about to take a pretty crappy photo!
- Multiple zoom zones so putting what you want to see into focus is easy
- Catch a beautiful, wide lake, or a tiny red flower with the landscape feature, and the close-up feature!
- Flash modes include:
- red-eye
- automatic flash adjustment (auto)
- regular flash
- You can choose weather you would like the date stamped onto each picture
- You can also choose between many different special effects (this list includes some effects you can use on the free software)
- sepia (western)
- black and white
- saturated color (intensified color)
- cartoon
- coloring book
- fish-eye
- You can tag a photo to be emailed right when you dock it into your computer
- You can even protect a photo from being deleted
- With a four megapixel sensor and a whopping ten-x optical zoom, you can still have a breath-taking photo from a distance!
These are just a few of the hundreds of features on this camera! I would seriously suggest this for your all purpose shooting!

Excellent Camera! In summary, the performance is excellent. While the camera is a little too big to serve as a "pocket camera", this is the only drawback I can find. The pop-up flash works well, the settings are easy to understand and manipulate, the macro lens selection does a great job bringing objects into focus, and the resolution is truly incredible.
The only thing we haven't really tested is the ability to capture moving objects. But for all of our detail digital imaging needs, this camera has exceeded our expectations.
There is no question that when I get around to buying a digital camera for home use, this will be the one.
Best 10X Zoom Camera for Enthusiasts! The most important feature to me is the ease of the menu. Kodak has it hands down for their menu. When going from a simple, fully auto camera or from a 35mm manual to a digital camera that offers manual (PASM), night mode, moving objects mode, movies, etc., I don't want to spend all my time fishing through a complicated menu system, I want to take the picture/video! Kodak makes it as easy as can be. Love the joystick. The movie feature is a fun bonus!
The second feature is the 10x zoom! Wow! What fun!
The third feature is the dock. My first digital had one and I loved it. Nothing better than charging your camera and downloading from one spot with the press of a button. You can buy a rechargable battery travel kit if you need to. Amazon offers it as do others.
Works great on a Mac! Very important to me as not all companies are apple friendly.
Love the large display for viewing.
Make sure to get a memory card - I'd recommend a 256mb. should be enough to hold as many pictures as the battery will allow you to take at one time. I've yet to have the batter get low. Have only taken 90 pictures at one time though.
Good fun! Easy to work, enjoy!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this camera! One of my favorite features on this camera, as compared to other cameras, is the large viewing screen--it is so much easier to tell if you like the pictures you've taken with a larger screen, and also easier to view pictures when you are outdoors.
Most importantly, though, I love how simple this camera is to work. My parents have a digital camera that I still can't figure out. However, with the Kodak, I didn't even have to read the instruction manual. Everything is very self-explanatory, and using the buttons to accomplish a change in picture quality, color, etc. is a piece of cake.
I didn't think I would use the feature that allows the user to take video clips, but as it turns out, I use it all the time! I have a 256 mb memory, so I can get a fairly long video out of this great camera.
I really could not be happier with my purchase. If I had to find a complaint, it would be that, like all other digital cameras, it does not have a large enough memory on its own. It's not that fun to buy a nearly $500 camera, only to have to then spend more money to be able to take a decent amount of pictures. Other than that, though, I'd recommend this camera in a heartbeat!
