not as good as a new cartridge, but closeit's a very good product. like other refill kits i've tried, the ink smears more and dries more slowly than the original cartridge. however, the instructions are simple and the kit is more complete and easier to use than the office depot version. since staples stopped selling it, i'm stocking up.
and yes, rubber gloves won't hurt, and definitely refill outside or on newspaper.
