great for it's time and still respectable
The Kodak DC120 produces very good images for a 1M pixel camera. Compressed image format (approx 300k/photo) does not seriously degrade the image and it speeds up downloading. Slow speed serial port is a bummer; use a card reader. CF media is very common and inexpensive. It eats battery fairly quickly, especially when stored. Be prepared to load fresh batteries every time you take it off the shelf. 3x optical zoom is great. 12 inch macro focus is adaquate, and it can take some add on lenses to get closer. It can also take adapters to convert it to a microscope digital camera c-mount. Physically large but easy to hold and use. Approx 2 sec shutter lag and 6 sec recycle time.

          Great camera, poor customer service
I love my kodak easy share camera. It is a good camera for the price. However, just a warning, if you have a problem with your camera, kodak has very poor customer service and is unwilling to help you fix your problem. You will have to take care of it on your own at a local dealership.

Best "bang for the buck" Camera!
I am absolutely delighted with the Kodak CX7430 and wholeheartedly recommend it. Kodak has cornered the market in offering tremendous features for extremely reasonable prices. I upgraded to the CX7430 from the CX7000 because I was so happy with the Kodak line. The CX7430 offers great features, such as both optical and digital zoom, and video capacity with sound, along with an outstanding 4 MPs. The operating system is the simplest and easiest to learn and use of any brand of digital camera. The entire Kodak Easy Share system makes downloading, editing, printing, and e-mailing pictures a breeze. This is THE 4 MP camera to buy!

Kodak CX7430 is a great quality camera for the price!
I bought this camera and I love it! I checked out just about every camera in the 3 and 4 MP range and this one has the best quality picture and it is one of the easiest to use in the $200-$300 price range. I would recommend any Kodak for its ease of use, but I bought the 4MP (cx7430) so I could crop and enlarge my pictures without loosing photo quality. The 3MP (cx6330) was the other camera that I looked at in depth, but I found that the 8 x 10 pictures were blurry even without cropping.

I would also recommend purchasing a 128MB card to store pictures. The internal memory only holds about 9 pictures on the best quality. I purchased the 256MB card, which holds about 190 pictures...way too many pictures, but it was cheaper than the 128MB card when I bought it.

Overall, great camera! I'm glad I bought it!

          Great Camera, small quirks
The CX7300 is the third Kodak camera I have owned, and thus far it has been the best. The price is great and the camera is very easy to use with a lot of great options. The Kodak EasyShare Software is some of the best photo software on the market. The camera takes high quality pictures for only being 3.2 mp.

I only had a few issues with the camera. My main problem is that there is no cover for the lens. Even with the camera turned off you can touch the plastic lens covering. The second problem I had is that there is also no cover for the connection port on the bottom of the camera. You have to get a case for this camera if you are going to take it outdoors with you in order to avoid dirt, damage and other problems with both parts of the camera.

          A Thrilled Newcomer
I ordered this on a grudge Monday PM (1st online buy), after a hideous visit to a local retailer who apparently didn't need my business...I was taking photos with it 3 days later. This camera is great, feels high quality, and is very easy to get used to. Only gripe: just noticed the price went down $10 today! (but the free shipping helps there; promised 5-9 days, actually here in 3). I was crazy to wait this long to do this: both the camera and Amazon impressed me (and no, I'm not a stockholder in either!)

          Very Easy To Use
This is my first digital camera and I am in love with it. It's very easy to use straight out of the box. The picture quality is great. The editing software makes it easy to edit pictures and share with friends. A great digital camera for beginners.

            missrepresented product
I purchased what I thought was a Kodak product when I purchased with my new Kodak DC3400 digital camera, a Kodak Compact Flash Card Reader for Digital Cameras, what I recieved was a Datafab Compact Flash Card Reader for Digital Cameras. This product would work with my windows 98 but every time I booted up the PC I wouuld get "The blue screen from hell" to quote another reviewers description of a similar product. I have since done more reasearch on the compact flash card reader products and sent back my Datafab unit and ordered another comparable unit that had at least better reviews. Buyer beware...

My experience installing reader on a laptop
First, I have nearly 40 years experience in computer hardware and software, so I'm not a neophyte. Yet I had an incredibly bad time installing this product. After installation under Windows SE, I constantly got the "blue screen of death," a fatal error that caused crashes during boot. Success (of a sort) came when technical support from Datafab told me to power the device from the mouse port, not the keyboard port as the instructions say. There is no mention in the directions about using the mouse port. (My laptop doesn't have a keyboard port.) The hookup is an unbelievable kludge: wires everywhere. Now that it works, the "blue screen of death" still appears during every boot, but it can be bypassed by pressing any key. Datafab admits this is caused by a conflict between their reader driver software and some other (unknown) program during boot.

Turns out there is a far better and simpler solution for a laptop: use a Picture Card Adapter that slides into a PCMCIA slot on the side of the laptop. Simply slip the CompactFlash card into the Adapter and the Adapter into the slot. ...

            Very useful and inexpensive.
I bought the Datafab reader for my new Nikon Coolpix 950 (I highly recommend if you are an SLR photographer). The reader has worked flawlessly for two months now. It does cause one of my HP printers to feed an extra page now and then, though, which doesn't irritate me the way it seems to irritate some. It fits into my camera bag so I can hook up to anyone's computer for a download. Speed seems instantaneous, never more than a few seconds. I run Windows 98SE and a variety of photo software programs. Even if you're a beginning photographer or novice computer user, this unit is a no-brainer, it registers on your computer as another drive, installation is easy and quick. The only flaw is the software for handling images, useable but you'll want to get photo imaging software anyway to manipulate and print images. I think it's a a solid unit and the price is great.
