Don't buy thisOf course, the battery and charger are very useful, so simply buy the charger individually and then purchase a REAL camera case and a lens cleaner. You won't miss those 5 pieces of paper.
Not worth the moneyThis kit is simply not worth what it costs. Just purchase the battery and charger seperately (only $59 if you order directly from Kodak) then take your $40 and buy a real camera case, lens brush, and 15 sheets of print paper.
A nice, well balanced camera kitI really don't have use for the photo paper though, because I get my photos done....
The lithium battery charger is also a necessity, and it gets your charging done in a short period of time, rather than having to keep buying alkaline batteries for only a few minutes of use before they die.

A camera for power users! The pictures themselves are excellent. You get a 3x zoom lens, a choice between ISO equivalents of 100, 200, and 400, MORE than enough shutter speeds, and there are 3 choices of aperture (f/2.8, f/5.6, and f/8). You can have manual control over all of these settings or let the camera automatically choose, although with the automatic control the camera doesn't always take very good pictures. If you take control, however, and you know what you're doing (and its easy to learn!) you will always get good pictures with this camera.
The reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is Kodak's choice to include its own expensive battery instead of using cheaper rechargables, and the fact that the camera doesn't do very well on the automatic setting.
Great for daytime, mediocre for nighttime.Nighttime pictures utilizing flash are mediocre - they come out grainy and the colors are a bit on the muddy side.
I frankly don't know if it's an underpowered flash or just the nature of the beast; even close-up flash, where the power of the flash shouldn't really matter, comes out the same way.
However, I must temper this with two possible explanations - 1) that nighttime pictures just [are poor] because they do with any camera - I haven't tried other cameras or 2) - my expectations are out of whack because the daytime pictures are just so darned good.

A very nice small camera...you can do better for the money. What I don't like: I've had the camera for about 6 months and I wish I'd bought something with a better zoom. The digital zoom is not very good and really limits what you can shoot. Worse than the zoom, is the shutter speed. If there is the slightest movement while you're taking a picture, the result is a complete mess.
If you're considering this model, its a good camera, but shop around and try it out before you buy. Also, I bought the Kodak rechargeable battery pack and its wonderful.
A great camera for what it is - a quality point & shootPros:
1. Incredible picture quality outdoors.
2. Simple. Anyone can make great pictures without being confused by complex camera settings.
3. Very small.
4. Easy to download.
Cons:
1. Too simple for anyone who wants to tinker with exposures.
2. The flash is lacking in indoor low-light conditions.
3. As with most cameras, the 8meg flash card included is a joke. ...get a 128meg card to upgrade.
4. The photo software included is junk. Get Kodak easyshare on a disk....
Compact, Quick, Excellent PhotosThis camera is easy to set up and easy to use. During the Afgan campaign I saw a picture I wanted to send someone. Taped the news report, put the VCR on pause, turned off the room lights and took the picture off of a big screen TV. E-mailed the picture to several friends that night!
Battery life is excellent and uses STANDARD AA's!!
Some of my friends have chased the latest and greatest and my Kodak still takes better pictures. The one disadvantage is the card reader, but then that is also and advantage. When visiting my nephew, I pulled my card out and inserted it into his card reader for another brand (dual slot) and downloaded some shots.
Most of the newer inkjets have card slots in them, so they can read the card in this camera, without having to load additional software.

- Outstanding picture quality
- Up to 3x optical zoom
- Easy to use
- Simple connection with USB serial cables
- Printing ease

CLEAR & EASY
Goodbye film HELLO Digital! The camera is easy to use and great on batteries. The USB connection works like a charm and allows you to be up and running in a matter of minutes.
The color saturation is picture perfect, and the camera settings allow for beautiful 8" x 10" prints. I print quite frequently on an older Hp 880c but the pictures are outstanding. The only negatives are the placement of the viewfinder and corrections to the manual. Sometimes your nose smudges the screen when you're looking through the viewfinder. As for the manual, they mistakenly printed it to include a "beep" setting. There is no such setting and Kodak assured me that they were printing new manuals to correct their oversight.
All in all this is an awesome camera, that sets up in minutes and is a snap to use. Go out and get one!
if I can, U can!i love this camera. easy to use. looks great. nice feel. incredible picture quality. i love to pull it out at snap away at family and public events. and if anyone has forgotten their camera i offer to email photos to friends or strangers. everyone who sees it "ooohs" & "ahhhs". i feel like such a high tech member of society :)
