The MINISCULE VIEWFINDER is a TREMENDOUS Problem
Believe me, and believe any other review that criticizes the tiny viewfinder on this camera. It may have top-quality optics and an abundance of admirable features, but you're likely to miss most photo opportunities (especially in twilight and darkness) as you struggle to place the viewfinder over your eye.

Most of the photos we obtained with this Minox captured the moment after a great picture COULD HAVE been taken, and even then were generally off-center. I thought I would become acclimated, but frustration got the better of me and the camera was returned for refund.

        back from vacation
The Minox CD-140 date camera is simple to use , the small viewfinder takes some getting use-to. the controls are simple to understand and easy to use. The quality of photos taken on vacation with this camera are excellent, colors are true and images are crisp and clear ( but no better than my 8 year old Nikon LiteTouch AF ). Not sure if it was worth the extra cost when looking at other similar cameras. Have to see how this camera holds up over the next 10 years, hope its better than my pentax...

        Awesome Camera
This is the best Camera I have ever owned. I scrapbook and I am so happy with the Quality and colors of my photo's. Definetly Reccomend.

Good Pictures but problem with white curved lines
I bought the Minox Cd 140 strictly on the reviews from this site which is usually a good predictor of the products quality and value. After I received the camera I was pleased with how it operated and looked except that it has a step zoom instead of continuous zoom like someone said in a previous review. I think there is about 5 steps. I took my first roll of pictures and was pleased with the quality except there was these curved white lines in the upper left corner of almost all of my pictures. I wasn't sure if it was the developer or the camera so I took another roll and the white lines were in that roll also (which was in the negatives also). I had to come to a conclusion that it was a mechanical problem so I had to send it back. I probably would of kept this camera if the lines weren't in the pictures. I guess I got the bad one in the batch. I have to give it a 3 based on my experience but otherwise it is a good camera. I don't think this is a prevalent problem or I would have heard about it somewhere.

        This is the one!
I have owned this camera for over a year now and it has performed superbly. I bought it for it's "point and shoot" simplicity and I "got it all". The pictures are always in focus and exposure level never misses. This camera has to be one of the best engineered and executed products I have ever held in my hands. The pure quality built into this camera makes me wonder if Minox is making a profit. (I would have paid a lot more for it, knowing what I do now.) If I ever drop it in the ocean accidently and lose it, I will buy another without hesitation.

It is the quietest camera I have ever used. It is built like a brick and weighs like a feather. What can I say? The fit and finish are perfect. The optics are superb. I have used, abused, dropped, banged, and neglected this camera and have been rewarded with flawless operation through it all.

If you want a true "point and shoot" camera and still have crisp, razor sharp photos that rival any SLR's, then buy this one. I have NEVER regretted buying it and I have been through many other cameras.

        BANG FOR THE BUCK
Originally, I wanted a Yashica T4 after reading stellar reviews on the Net. Unfortunately, they no longer make this camera. My search continued and I came across the Minox CD 140. Got my first roll of film back (Agfa Vista 200) and can only say that the pictures are breathtaking! Razor sharp, clear, vivid and brilliant. The camera is easy to operate and has great features without overkill. Fits nice in the hands and has a nice "solid feel" to it. Comes with strap and case in which the camera fits snug. As for the supposed "small viewfinder", I didn't think it any smaller than my other two cameras I own. Get this camera. Unbelievable pictures, easy to use, nice features, great value. A "Leica" at a fraction of the cost. I am totally satisfied.

        Great Bargain, Great Binoculars
I purchased these binoculars not quite two years ago, and I think this was one of my best purchases ever as a paddler/birder. I wear eye glasses and getting a quality pair of waterproof, fogproof roof prism binoculars at a price that I could afford was a daunting task. Everytime I thought I had found the right optics, they didn't fit my unusual eyesight spacing. Finally, my local WildBirds Unlimited Store expert suggested these binoculars, and I have been happy ever since.

The great thing about these binoculars is that I can wear them around my neck while paddling with minimal fatigue. The optics are phase coated and are wonderful in the late afternoon when lighting can become an issue for spotting birds and seeing their details clearly.

I will always dream of owning a pair of Swarovskis. But believe me,these Minox 8x32's are a wonderful pair of binoculars. I highly recommend them to anyone on a budget who still wants quality optics.

        Minox BR 8 X 32 Roof Binoculars
These are excellent binoculars. They are very bright and offer good (about 3.5 ft) close focus. They are waterproof and highly durable. I have used them for bird, butterfly and dragonfly watching. They are bright enough for dusk and dawn viewing, but are exceeded (only slightly) by my Celestron Regal 10 X 50s. For this price ... I would consider them a fine purchase for anyone buying a pair of binoculars. I liked them so much; my father bought the 10 X 42 version. If you prefer more magnification, they are great too, although they only close focus at 6 ft.

A great Product at a Great price
I own these binoculars since 1999 and are perfect for hunting or outdoor activities. They withstand elements (Rain, Extreme heat, Winds) they dont blur (Even at fog you can see very well because of the high contrast) And Can be used very well by people who use eyeglasses. Great Product i give it 5 stars because it well worth it.

        Great value for the money
Have been using the Minox 10x42 for 6 months now and have been extremely pleased with it. When I looked to purchase a pair of binoculars, I checked out the other top brands - leica, zeiss, nikon and others and while I preferred the leica ba model by a hair, it also cost twice as much.
