Not to honest
I got my Lithium lon Battery Pack in almost two week as they told me. Some how the address on envelope had my zip code blacken out as was my lab address. The picture on Amazon showed a Nikon Battery with the name on it.
But the one I received do not have Nikon any were on it, and upon turning it over it said make in China. Japan is not in China to my knowledge China doesn't make Nikon product. This is not my first Nikon product!
I will have to test this to see if it really works, if you are not selling Nikon just say it's a copy. Yes, the price should have told me something but they showed a Nikon product, yet they sold me something make in China not to honest in my book.!

Compact, decent life, but expensive
Pros:
Fits the camera.
Small for compact cameras
Handles fast charge

Cons:
ONLY fits the specific charger for it -- you have to buy the charger too.

Try to find a car charger for a trip.

Not interchangable with your other cameras, even other Nikons use other different batteries.

Hard to find locally

Hey! It's a battery
It is a battery. It is rechargable. If fits in your CoolPix 2500. It is somewhat expensive, for a battery. You should probably have an extra one so you will always have a charged battery ready.

Oh, and it is black and says "Nikon" on it. Usually things that fit that description cost much more.

Don't go out without one
This is the second rechargeable battery I bought for my Nikon 880. It's worth the price, since you'll otherwise eat up regular batteries at a frightening rate. It thought I could get by with one battery, but it can be a big problem to run out of power on the road -- you might as well buy two right off the bat.

You need the charger (sold separately). It's annoying that you can't charge the battery in the camera, and even more annoying that you have to plug the camera into the recharger or it will forget date and settings when you take the battery out.

This is the battery for Nikon Coolpix 775, 880 and 995
You can take a lot of pictures (100+) with the charge on one of these batteries, but its hard to know when your going to run out. Having a second seems a must.

I don' know about the other cameras that use this battery, but the 775 comes with an external charger that charges a battery in less than 2 hours. It also has an interal battery that keeps track of the date & time and is automatically recharged from the fresh EN_EL1 battery. (Some camera settings are lost when you remove the EN_EL1 battery).

A satisfied customer?
I received this item in a timely manner, and it was in perfect condition. However, it must have been in a very hot place for awhile, because when I opened the box, the battery was rattling around loose in the box, and had come out of its package; the plastic front part of the package that the battery was actually in had simply let go of the cardboard backing. It wasn't torn, it just let go. Otherwise, I'm very happy with my new battery.

    Works fine but...
...it's not the best way to go. If you want to download pics to your PC, you're better off owning a cheaper and more portable card reader, which just slips into any computer's USB port and accepts the memory card from the camera, using the PC's power to do the image transferring.
I don't think this gadget makes sense unless you are planning on shooting while plugged into a wall socket or unless you are planning on running a slide show directly from your digicam to a TV/monitor.

      Incompatible Adapter/Battery Charger EH-31
Page 163 of the Nikon CoolPix995 camera guide states that "The AC Adapter EH-31/30 cannot be used with the CoolPix995." The foregoing statement appears under the paragraph explaining the use of Nikon AC Adapter/Battery Charger EH-21.

      some things to consider first
I didn't read anything about the need to remove the batteries while using the adapter with the instruction that came with the adapter. There was a warning about not using the adapter too long or else it might over heat the camera, but it didn't specify what "too long" is. The AC cable that came with the camera is only good for either 120 or 240 volts. You MUST use different cables for different voltages. My recommendation is to spend your money on getting more rechargeable batteries intead of buying this adapter. Make sure you get batteries with 1600mha ratings.

Does What You Expect of It
The Coolpix 990 AC Adapter does just what it is supposed to do, which is to allow you to use your camera for as long as you wish without having to worry about batteries running down. This is especially important when downloading files to your computer. You can travel abroad with it as it works on 100-240 volts, 50 or 60 cycle AC. My only quibble is not with the adapter, but the camera circuitry, which requires that you remove the batteries when using any AC adapter. It will not recharge them, but might cause the batteries to overheat (according to Nikon).
