It overheats if asked to do more than 5 prints in a row. Once cooled (45sec.), it will continue, but heat problem & delays get worse. Considered a "normal" condition in the manual! Like a Windows crash is a "feature"???

Awesome is a horribly overused word, but this little puppy earns major kudos! It's terrbily intuitive, easy to use, runs on a honking big NIMH battery (or AC) and -- yes -- produces dye-sub prints that are rich and gorgeous and tough-to-tell from conventionally processed ones. If the big chasm preventing digital photography from going mainstream has been the lack of physical prints that you can stick in an envelope and mail to the relatives (or carry around in your pocket), the P-200 more than bridges that gap. It's a masterpiece of engineering.

I bought this from Gold Box offer. Only 4 stars because it is fairly expensive compared to competition, but you pay for what you get.

Made in China. Good optics - I looked for collimation errors (do both eyes point in the same direction), and chromatic distortion (rainbows around objects, especially near the edge of field of view) and found nothing to complain about.

Compact - only 5" x 3" x 2" inside the soft leatherette case with belt loop, I carry them just about everywhere (how often have you wished that you'd brought binoc's along, but your 10x50's were just too bulky to bother with).

Collapsable eye cups for folks who wear glasses (me). Woven nylon neck strap that kind of looks like a shoelace. Claims weather-resistance and UV protection.

I find it fiddly to focus - two hinges across the bridge, instead of just one in the center, makes it kind of hard for me to adjust the center-to-center spacing for my eyes. Center-focus wheel could use a finer thread pitch.

No setting scale on the right eye adjustment, so it's not easy to reset to your prescription after you loan the binoc's to another person.
