I've used both the 64MB and 128MB version. The Sony Micro Vault is way overpriced in comparision to its competetion. I can get twice the storage capacity on a San Disk Mini Cruzer for the same price. The Mini Cruzer is built a lot better too. The Micro Vault has a cheap plastic case and everyone I've use has eventually pulled apart exposing the board inside. This is the only drive I've had do this. Its just crappy design, trying to make it look cool at the cost of durability. It isn't the most compatible drive either. Works fine in XP but on every 98 or ME system I've used it on driver installation has been hell, requiring multiple reboots to make the machine detect it. The Mini Cruzer has been an easy install on older OS for me.

Overall it does what its suppose to but there are far more reliable, far cheaper, far more compatible and far more durable drives out there.

This product is a fantastic solution for carrying data files, keeping important or sensitive files locked away in a drawer or in your briefcase, and quickly moving files between computers. It also has password protection and encryption software that works very well. It's the fastest way for me to transfer files between my Mac laptop and desktop at home (OS X) and my Sony Vaio laptop or Gateway desktop (Windows XP and 2000) at work. No drivers needed. On the Mac, it automatically shows up on your desktop just like an external drive as soon as you plug it in (and you can plug it into the USB port on your keyboard), and just drag it to the trash to eject. On Windows machines, as soon as you plug it in it is visible in Windows Explorer or My Computer, and an icon appears in your toolbar that you can click to disconnect. [The person who had trouble with his (see other review) just disconnected it while it was still saving data, which can corrupt the data. The solution is just to plug it back in, erase the file(s), and copy new ones.] It's like 3M Post-It Notes -- once you have one, you'll wonder what you did without it.

This product is SO convenient. Unlike my first USB keychain drive, it fits into every USB port I've run across without needing an extension cord or adapter.

If you are a person who needs to use several different computers in the course of a day or week, and you never seem to have the right files with you, I highly recommend this drive. I just wish I'd bought the 256MB version--maybe next payday! :)

Sony acts as if the ability to block MP3's is a virtue. Otherwise it functions like all of the other memory sticks out there.

The blue Memory Sticks by Sony or Lexar play MP3 files just dandy. I should know, I've owned a Clie the past 2 years and I have been enjoying MP3s on my 128 MB Memory Stick since I bought my Clie.

All you need to do is put the MP3s you want to listen to in the MSAudio folder on the memory stick. In fact, Sony's manual even gives instructions on how to do this! For the price of ONE Magic Gate Memory Sticks you can buy TWO blue Memory Sticks of equal size! Don't believe me, visit cliesource.com and ask all the Clie users there.

SONY has released MAGIC GATE for converting MP3 to ATRAC (especially designed by SONY for copy right control).
It stores up to 125 minutes with 132 bits recording on a 128mb MG memory card.
Everything went on fine until middle of 2003 when all CDs come with COPY RIGHT CONTROL. Then I have no more use for my MAGIC GATE MEMORY STICK. I think SONY should do something about this.
The only reason when MAGIC GATE MEMORY STICKS are more expensive than the blue ones is because SONY pays for the copy right.
Now, I don't know what will happen to all the NETWORK WALKMAN, or NETWORK MD WALKMAN. They won't be able to download from cds to their walkmans. What will happen to MG Memory Sticks?

Just received the tapes and they were what I expected from Sony and Amazon. Would have given them 5 stars, but the tapes are not individually wrapped. They are wrapped as a whole. They are a bit cheaper in price here as compared to your local discount store. So if you are low on video tapes, this might be the product for you.

I'm quite pleased with these Sony High Grade tapes. The video and audio reproduction I get are very close to the original signal quality even with SLP mode, though I suppose it helps to have a still-new VCR. Sony does make a higher quality tape, but these work just fine for repeated use. The 3-packs I've purchased come with "write 'n swipe" reuseable labels in addition to the standard labels. I also like the reuseable labels. These labels have two layers; when you "write" with any blunt instrument, the top layer sticks to the bottom layer to reveal the writing. When you "swipe", an air bubble is pushed through the label to separate the two layers and erase the writing. If you often have multiple tapes that you have yet to watch, the reuseable labels are quite handy for keeping track of which tape is which.

Great price for the tape, except there is no button or item to click to purchase it. Is this a joke?

I'd also love to buy one of these gems at this price, but alas no buy button. They'll sell me a used tape, however at two times the price. Grrrrrrr. I give this item 5 stars out of a posible Carl Sagan Billions and Billions.

I bought two Sony 120 Minute Hi8 casettes for my sharp camcorder. I used it over the long weekend.The recording was just phenomenal. On playback,it seems as if all the events happen again. It is a must buy.
