I ordered a Dual Battery Charger but received a single batery charger. However the single battery charger had a plug in adapter for a car cigarette lighter. This pleased me. Since this extra compensated me for getting the wrong thing

We bought it so that we could charge 2 batteries at once for the holidays and vactions. We have no complaints and my wife is putting it to good use with the new camera.

Compact, small, super-easy to use; small enough footprint; efficient. In retrospect, something that should've been "standard" with any Sony Cybershot camera. Hooking up my camera to an AC charger is too cumbersome and a pain. This device is so straight forward, with two "pockets" to insert batteries, that having one go dead on you while you're on the road shouldn't happen.

Well worth the price and less cumbersome than the TWO power cords that come with your Sony digital camera (one from your wall to the the charger, the other from the charger to your camera).

With this gizmo, you have just ONE cord. It runs from the wall to the charger. That's it. I always worry about charging my camera from the wall because there isn't enough clearance for the wire and the back panel to your camera. The result is your camera, during charging, is pushed upward at a funny angle, on one edge because the flimsy door panel to access the input jacks is flush bottom. This door feels it could break at the slightest mis-directed touch.

No such worries anymore.

Until I got this charger, I struggled with battery problems constantly in the field (I am a professional radiographer and do considerable field photography on archeology projects in the summers in Peru). This charger is perfect....lightweight, fits in my camera bag easily, and gives me a full day of work without worrying about when the battery will run out when I am hours from a recharging plug.

There is adequate charge in two regular NP batteries to allow me to run 400-500 high res still images on my Sony Mavica CD digital camera. This accessory is worth every penny!

I like this charger, very small and portable. Sony shoud sell a extra battery / charger combo. I sure recommend it for taking vacations.

This charger takes up minimal space. The prongs for plugging into the wall fold in preventing snags. Excellent design. It also charges your spare battery in minimal time.

This item is an ideal accessory for those of you who have a sony digital camera or camcorder. It frees up the camera, so that you can take pictures while your second battery is charging.

I buy this thing because it was with special discount, practically the same price with SONY ACVQ50 that haves SQ technology but only one slot for one battery. The other unique difference is that the ACSQ950D have the plug and cord to connect to the cigarette lighter for your car. I was surprised when i read in the manual "This unit cannot charge two battery packs simultaneously", so compare price between the two chargers before buying. That's my advice.
