When I was moving to my new computer, I suddenly discovered that Cleaner 5 no longer worked. It wouldn't encode Windows Media files anymore. I tested the program on other people's computer to confirm the problem. So, I had no choice but to upgrade to Cleaner XL. I was horrified at how complicated the program was.

So, after a night of learning how to use it, I was once again horrified by how much of a downgrade it was. I won't go into all the gory details but I can tell you that my Real Player files don't even work on many people's computers and I'm pretty sure that Mac users can't even view the Real files this program creates.

Now I find myself having to go back and use Cleaner 5 for Real files since Cleaner XL doesn't work AND using Cleaner XL for my Windows Media files since Cleaner 5 doesn't work right. What a waste of money. Also, don't ask me why, but Cleaner XL actually takes away many of the useful controls found in Cleaner 5.

If Cleaner 5 still works for you, hang on and don't let go until they come out with a more worthy version!

This tape is great! Don't let the price fool you. If you think that this looks cheap compared to some and won't work well, that's not correct. It cleans the video heads in a dry cleaning format very well. The reason i took 1 stars off is because you can only use the tape twice, which probably explains the cheap price, and because the tape is overpriced compared to other retailers selling it on the market on line.
