Accurate color reproduction, but not very sharp with detail
Firstly let me just say, that I'm slightly confused as to all the different 35mm Fuji 'quicksnap' cameras out there. The 2 that I used were like the one shown here, but a slightly different color. Anyway, on to the review:
The Flash indicator took a while to light up, but we got it going after some persistance. The photos were ok, nothing great though. The results produced fairly natural looking colors, but many of the indoor/nightime shots were slightly blurry and grainy. Many photos appeared under-exposed, like the Flash wasn't bright enough. 3/5 stars.

Excellent Camera!
Recently I bought 2 One Time Use Cameras. The Kodak Max HQ Camera and a Fuji Quicksnap Flash Camera. After finishing both Camera's I had the Kodak Camera/Film Developed at a Kodak Express, then the Fuji Camera/Film developed at a Fuji Lab. The Results were very different to each other. The Fuji Quicksnap Flash is clearly the Superior Film/Camera. While the Kodak Prints came back slightly blurry with not much color, the Fuji Prints were Crystal Clear with exceptional Clarity and Bright Colors. The Fuji Camera was also cheaper than the Kodak HQ!

Fuji Film is taking over
I work in the photo processing world, I am a manager of a high volume photo lab and I must say that Fuji film has taken very large steps to over take Kodak in the film world. From their minilabs, to their digital kiosks, to their one time use 35mm cameras, Fuji film is the way to go. From truer colors, more real film grains, to the obvious less blur, this camera is a wise decision for a one time use camera.

Very useful, only one drawback
A very cool little device, this gives you an expandable flash USB stick - I guess you can use up to and including the new 512 MB cards with this device. I use with only 64 MB at the moment :-(
I have tried on Win98 and Linux, the former you will need to install a driver, but it works as standard USB mass storage, so no special driver is needed for Windows200/XP or recent Linux.
If you don't have xD cards, then look into them they are tiny and perfect for devices like this. I can't wait for an xD based personal stereo. My one gripe about this particular device is that the cap does not fit very well, leaving me to wonder how dust proof it is. I won't be keeping it in my pocket because of that, but will carry it around in my laptop bag.

Who needed any proprietary card ?
Fuji/Olympus/Toshiba decided to bunch together and get a newer flash card format & earn some money on flash cards (like Sony) with their propreitary format. Didn't any of the existing 6 or 7 flash card formats meet their future needs ? Obviously not since they won't fetch any extra money for each card sold !

Maybe they will give up on selling xD based camera's if it hurts their sales big time ? After all they haven't got even 256MB out yet. No significant power difference either between 2600/2650 for example, neither does this newer format make your camera any faster while reading/writing. Ofcourse Fuji can claim any figure they like since no one can verify it, its a propreitary thing.

Well if you have already bought a xD card based camera, you don't have much choice left, do ya ? Go ahead and buy this card, its works fine in F*ji camera's atleast, can't say about Olympus or Toshiba cameras. Ofcourse outside of compatible camera's from these companies its useless, won't work in any mp3 player, PDA, cell phone etc.

Take care not to loose this, its too small & very very easy to loose. Plus its still got the connectors open like Smartmedia, so don't touch on connectors as static electricity can disable it. (What sort of improvement is that Fuji et al ?)

BTW, what brand of xD card you buy doesn't matter, they are all made by Toshiba as of now, just sold under different brand names.

    So far, so good.
I bought two 64MB XD picture cards, thinking I'd have one for backup if anything went wrong with one of them. I have yet to use the second one, and could probably have just gotten away with using the 16MB card that came with the camera as backup. Then again, if I did more travelling, it's like having two would be a smart move. I have no complaints about these XD cards.

    Great new format
I think these are great, I get a lot more battery life and they allow the camera to be much smaller...they may not be industry standard, but they were created by Olympus and Fuji, so even if they just become the standard in those two companies they'll stay around for quite some time.
