Does not work with Olympus D340L
What a bust, although this is a smart media card it doesn't work with the Olympus D340L . I still can't solve the problem. The pictures are there but will not load to my MAC. The original 4MB card works fine. There is no list of which devices this card will work with.

      Beginners are invited!
I am not an electronics expert and I believe my opinions will be helpful to those who are like me, less comfortable with technology. I was unfamiliar with Memorex brand, so I was curious to see how I would like it, compared to a well known brand. And now I can say I have no problem with it.

I don't have a very sofisticated digital camera (Kodak Easy Share CX6200) and so it was not worth getting a high-priced memory card for a moderate priced camera. This Memorex has one of the best price-to-memory ratios, and so I can take almost 100 pictures without being obliged to transfer them into my computer.

It is one of the most popular memory card formats, much more popular than the Sony type, which fits only high-end equipement that is not for beginners like me. I feel pleased to know that even if one day I decide to upgrade my camera, there is a good possibility I might use the same memory card.

It has a fairly small shape (compared to others, larger and less convenient) but not so small to lose it and it is easy to work with. And most important, the quality of the pictures is better on the memory stick than the built-in memory.

If you don't have sofisticated cameras and want something simple at a fair price, this is the card you have to buy.

      Useless CF card
I would rate this as zero stars if I could. I bought this CF card because of the low price and like my mother always told me, you get what you pay for. The card is corrupted, and will only store about 5 or 6 images before it throws an error. When it hits that error point, it will corrupt any pictures you've already taken and won't allow you to take any more pictures. Go with another brand and save yourself the headaches as well as the money.

Bad Memory .... Go with another brand
I bought this card because of a low price for 64 megs. I have two digital cameras, and this card is only recognized by one. The images write to the card very slowly, and even deleting all images from the card takes a very long time. I have a Memorex USB CompactFlash drive for my computer and it works great with my Viking and Lexar CF cards, but does not recognize that its own brand of Memorex CF is even in the drive! I recomend Viking or Lexar, as both have yet to disapoint me like this Memorex card has.

      Slowwwww
You can actually tell that it is slower than other (Viking, Kingston) brands.

        Awsome!!
I bought a camera with 16MB, then upgraded to 128. It was alot of time and money. Then I got the 256MB card and it holds so many pictures. Great price too.

Did not work well at all
I bought this card and returned it in a matter of hours. It is very slow on any read operation, and I had several problems trying to write to the card using a reader that worked well on every other CF card I own. Save yourself trouble and get a Sandisk.

        Once again
This is my second attempt at writing a review on this card. Let's just say that after getting a piece that actually recognized in my system (all very high end components) that I was NOT impressed with the speed compared to others I have tried. Good luck.

Memorex Memory Card Works Fine in Minolta Digital Camera
I read a couple of negative reviews about Memorex CompactFlash memory cards and was worried that one wouldn't work as well as a SanDisk card had been working in my Minolta Dimage S304 digital camera. There is no discernable difference. The Memorex 128 MB card is cheaper than the SanDisk (plus right now Memorex has a great rebate going). And the Memorex card comes in a neat little hard plastic case. I am under the impression that memory cards perform differently in various pieces of equipment; for my needs the Memorex product is perfectly fine.
