Fuji Flop
I have to agree with erosomniac, from Seattle, WA. The FujiFilm A340 is a waste of money. I previously had a FujiFilm 2600 and it took far superior pictures than the A340. I contacted Fuji (sent them pictures from the A340 and they sent me back pictures with the same problems) and that was also a waste of time. Outdoor pictures are either too bright or too dark, really hard to get a good clear picture.

Well, I like this camera!
I purchased this camera this afternoon. I didn't buy it from amazon. I purchased it at a PC Richards. I knew the salesman and he gave me a good deal. Anyway, I was going to get the 3 pixal one, but that was out of stock. The salesman sold me this one at the same price, which was $200. I was deciding between this one and a canon, and he recommended this one. I have had it for an hour, and I love it. It is so easy to use. I just skimmed throught the instructions. I was able to navigate the menu's with no problem. I wanted to point that out, since a lot of the compliants are that it is not that easy to use. I have about ten pictures that I took so far. I used my new puppy as my test subject. They came out great. It is easy to pick out the pictures that you want, and the ones that you want to delete. I can't wait to print some up. I just needed one with the basics. This has that and more. I love it, and I am glad I purchased this one. It is highly recommended. I only gave it four stars, because I wish the memory card held more. Don't have second thoughts on this. It is definitly a good price, and compact.

great camera!
I'm suprised there are a few reviews that aren't so good, we love this little camera! The pictures are clear, sharp, nice colors, and theres some really great features for being such an affordable price. This is a really good family camera. Not for the professional.

PS. cradle is optional. USB connects to your computer to upload. It would be cheaper to get a $15 recharger & batteries.

Fair camera for low price.
The price is the best part about this camera. I played with it for about two weeks and did not have a good deal of luck. Pictures outside in bright light were good. But any pictures indoors with light and flash were not as good as my other digital camera. Lot of blurry pictures. Flash would completely blackout the rest of the picture. LCD display not very crisp to check for blurriness of snapped pictures. Easy to use, just very slow in saving pictures, erasing pictures and shutter speed. I don't know how good a deal it is when the pictures don't come out well.

Good starter digicam
This camera is great as a starter digital camera, especially for people who are usually afraid of photography. The camera body is easy to hold and the buttons are laid out user-friendlily. It's the usual snap-and-go type, and anyone who half a brain can use the basic functions after picking it up. The memory cards have come down *a lot* in price so there's no reason to whine any more. BTW, speaking of price, the A210 can be had for under one-fifty if you shop around. For that price this is simply the best 3MP camera.

Image quality is excellent outdoors when light is aplenty. Night shots do tend to be dark and noisy (noise refers to the coarse-grained color dots you see in a poorly exposed picture). But after you read the manual you can do things to improve night shots. Besides, no camera takes great picures when there's insufficient light.

Easy camera for beginners
This is one great camera. My sister who is a professional photograher oftens borrows my Fugifilm because of the ease of use, great quality of pictures and it is compact. I am really impressed that I can finally take a decent picture and now have many of them as my wall paper on my computer.

Unneeded accessory sold to me by Amozon
The Finepix 700 camera comes with a recharger with a wall plug. It also serves as an adapter to run the camera off wall current, making this product comepletely unneeded. But since Amazon does not give a detailed description of what comes with the camera, it was hard to tell that.

AC adapter
I am hoping this is just what we need, but nowhere in the literature do I see if this adapter will work as a recharger for our Fujifilm 3800 digital camera. It only states "in some models". Delivery was VERY quick.

AC adapter
Wish this item was included in the accessory kit I bought. Great addition to the set, helps keep the need for batteries down in areas where outlets are available.

    No USB capabilities
Where is the USB compatibility that all the other cards have?

    Just what it says
This is a great card adapter. The user who thought it would convert an xD card to a Compact Flash was misinformed and their rating should be held against this product. This card allows you to put your xD or SmartMedia memory card into your PCMCIA-equipped laptop to transfer pictures, etc. It works great and is highly recommended for the price. A rock-solid product in my opinion.

    works great
I purchased the Fujifilm XD Picture Card PC Adapter (DPC-AD) and use it with both my laptop and dvd player.

Cream Of The Crop, Best For The Price!
I was using a Nikon D1 previous to purchasing the Fujifilm S2 Pro and I would have to admit that the camera body doesn't compare well to the Nikon pro bodies.
After using the S2 Pro since it's introduction and shooting everything from fashion to action rodeo images,I have to say that the image quality (Isn't that what really counts in the long run?)is top notch. For action shots I shoot in high rez JPEG and for everything else I shoot in RAW format.I feel that the 12MP Raw images are every bit as good as any that can be captured on 35mm film.
If one is not getting the image quality expected, from the Fujifilm S2Pro,perhaps they should examine the quality of the lenses used. Are they Nikon's Pro lenses? Are they after market lenses? I find that alot of complaints registered for various cameras are the result or either poor lens quality or of poor shooting technique rather than camera quality.
Without getting into the $5,000.00+ digital SLR price range,I feel that the S2Pro is the "Cream Of The Crop".

    Great Camera For The Price
I gave the Fuji S2 Pro 5 stars. You can't really compare it to someting like a Nikon D2H because it's in a completely different price class. First, I've been shooting professionally for a few years, and about 15 years in total. I know 35mm cameras. The Fuji, by far, has produced the most realistic and useful images of any digital camera that I've tried. It also offers the lowest number of images that need to be retouched. The previous comments about build quality should be taken with a grain of salt. The camera can withstand pro use, as long as you are not into moutain biking or extreme sports, you should be fine. The user interface is somewhat intuitive, but it does take a little getting used to - just like any other camera out there. Nothing has been "jury rigged" - this camera is built on the Nikon N80 (I have one) and both cameras are light but have a solid feel. They are well built cameras.

Overall image quality is excellent. Skin tones are right on. I have very few, if any, white balance issues using my SB-80DX flash units. I never use the on board flash - they stink regardless of what camera you use, it's only for emergencies. If you are looking to buy a digital camera useful for shooting weddings, portraits, etc, this is a good camera for you. It's imperative you put good glass on this camera (f2.8 or brighter). The BEST lens for the money on this camera is Nikon's 50mm f1.8 AF-D. It gives about the same perspective as a fine 85mm portrait lens. If you can afford them, the AF-S lenses on this camera are outstanding. The only drawbacks I've experienced is AF speed can be slow with normal lenses (no AF-S) and Fuji's software takes some getting used to, especially if you shoot in RAW format. Prices have not dropped recently on this camera - it has a large following of Nikon shooters out there, and a TON of professionals are using this camera in the studio and on assignment.

    Fuji Finepix 4700 Zoom
I had purchased 3 cameras before ending up with the Fujifilm 4700. It has tons of options, takes fantastic pictures and is very easy to control. The camera makes it very easy to upload pictures to the web or digital frame. For the money this camera has the best options that are easy to use and no problem moving around.
