Great gift...good options and functions
I have this camera and love it! I live in the mountains and take a wide variety of pictures and this camera can handle them all. The panoramic and landscape functions are particularly helpful. I also like that the camera has a function that prevents you from taking pictures when the lighting isn't good enough (green light flashes)or the subject isn't in focus(red light flashes). Keeps you from having terrible pictures developed! It is compact and lightweight but still has a realy large zoom lens. Great camera for all occasions...

Great Camera
When I first bought this camera, I thought it was too good to be true. I mean it's very cheap compared to other cameras with the same amount of options, and options it sure does have. There's five different flash modes for you to get the best looking picture possible, 3 different picture sizes, drop in film loading, the ability to imprint messages onto your pictures, and display of date and time the picture was taken on the back so it doesn't ruin it if you want to get enlargements. It's also very small and light, making it very easy to carry around. The quality is excellent, outdoing my old 35mm too. Overall a great camera. [...]

Great Camera, Many Functions
This is a spectacular camera. It takes good pictures, has many options, and works great. It's so small and light weight that I take it everywhere with me to make sure I don't miss a shot. The price here on amazon.com is so low too, I reccommend buying it from here if you get it...

Mediocre deal at best
It is an alright camera. Not exactly worth the price since I do believe the Elph LT is more worth it and its cheaper. Pretty much similar functions. If you are looking for an entry level nice looking camera, this or the Elph would fit your bill. Don't expect too much from its features.

      What a piece of . . .
I love purple, own tons of things that are purple. I loved the idea of this camera and something great for those short trips, etc. I load the first roll of film and have a blast on the Navy Pier in Chicago for the day. I buy more film and then jet to Mexico. I TRY to load the next roll of film! Nothing! Am I wrong!? I see the problem and was unable to ever resolve it! And what's worse is that I bought the identical gift for a friend's daughter in England! She can't return it now and I wonder if it is still working for her. I am too embarassed to ask! You get what you pay for!!! Not another Vivitar product!

I love it, but mine was defective.
What I loved about mine, which I bought from amazon.com, was that it was cute, stylish, small, and very lightweight. APS and three photo sizes, including panorama, is what drew me to it initially. Then the transluscent color. But mine was defective, and I don't know how common that is for this model. I wish more people would post ratings. With mine, the film did not "drop in" so nice, it had to be forced in, then got stuck inside and did not want to come out. Also, (and most importantly) it did not take the 3 different sizes of pictures. I slid the slider to the 3 different positions throughout the roll, but it only took one size the whole way through. So, I had bad luck. Maybe yours won't be defective, they can't all be, can they? If you get a non-defective one, you'll love it 'cause it's cute, small, and very light.
