Love the picsIts great for the convenience especially if youre like me and you dont want to wait for developing time however if you are travelling I would suggest a 35 mm cam instead because pictures could get ruined in packing and I find the picture quality to be a little dark As opposed to some 35mm that have a clearer brighter picture quality.
For the artist in youLet's be honest... this film isn't great. Reviewers who are praising its "GREAT COLOR!" and clarity may be confused with Polacolor peel-apart film, which yields extremely high quality. This stuff, on the other hand, is consumer-grade and is worse than 35mm film in these respects.
That's why I love it. While it isn't accurate, this film's color reproduction says "Polaroid" all over it. That really adds a certain dimension to your photos. Especially if you are photographing more "serious" subjects (i.e., not just family/friends), the polaroid has a way of lightening it up and making your photography look more nonchalant. It also "ages" your film for you, giving the photographs an old, faded feel right from the start.
If you've got an old polaroid camera lying around the house, take it out, by a pack of this stuff, and experiment. It's a lot of fun.
Hey, it's film!Got a good price, I'm happy. Film was fine.

Third time is a charm?I purchased this film with a new Joycam...my first polaroid experience. The first picture I took didn't want to come out of the camera but after some fussing and attempting to take another picture (in case it hadn't actually taken the first one) it finally came out - with a second, unexposed, print. The exposed print didn't develop correctly and left large areas with mushy grey-purple color instead of picture - a waste of over two dollars total. I was ready to return the whole contraption but decided to try again. That time it worked like a charm so I guess I'm happy...as long as I don't have this problem with every roll...but I haven't gotten that far to be able to know about that yet.
Easy to load, clear picturesThe Polaroid 500 film is extremely easy to load into the camera, and develops quick clear, and surprisingly in focus pictures. Downside- can sell for up to 14.99 or so for a pack of 10. So obviously the twin pack for 13.99 is a huge bargain.

Don't buy this scanner!! Save your money and grief! The first Pacific Image Electronics' PrimeFilm PF1800U USB Film Scanner I received was damaged and would not work at all. I returned it and was sent another as a replacement. The scans from this scanner are terrible. This thing is junk. I returned the second PF1800U scanner and purchased a Minolta DiMAGE Scan Dual IV. It cost a little more but was well worth it. The Minolta is wonderful I have scanned close to 9000 slides with it and have had no problems.
Failed Lamp I had the same problem with mine...I had Lamp Failure with very few hours on the unit(around 15 hours). I had lost my sales slip so could not get any help. I would have given this unit a 5 star rating because when it was working it was a great tool. Too bad the lamp life wasnt better.
Reply to Customer Support issuesWhen customers call their support department reporting hardware failure and the unit is within it's one year warranty period the unit may be sent in for repair/replacement under such warranty, I am not sure who some of these customers contacted for assistance but Pacific Image stands behind their products, it is unfortunate that such miss communications cause bad reputations for particular products and companies. I was helped in a timely and professional manner. I would definitely buy their products in the future.

PatheticColor cast is always off; editing software is clunky; levels adjustment is incredibly clumsy; scanner is prone to crashing (all the time); scanner won't calibrate properly for film strips. I have wasted an unbelievable amount of time trying to scan with this machine, and then fixing the scanned products, and am incredibly frustrated. I'm using the more advanced version than this - the PF 3600 Pro, but it sounds like it has the same problems. My advice is to troll the Internet and mags for solid reviews, and spend your scanner money accordingly ... or wait 2 more years for the manufacturers to get us off their bleeding edge.
Bad Company Bad scannerI only have a few things to say about the scanner and the company. Pacific Image as a company is terrible! They have no support and they don't care. This is the poorest example of a scanner I've ever used. Please take my advise and look eleswhere.
Cost effective, works good, driver glitchesReading some of the below reviews, I am reminded with I use a Mac: things usually work. The PF1800 is actually a good, not outstanding, scanner. I am scanning all my Dad's slides in and it produces good, easy to use results. I use about 1200 to 3000 dpi and it works well with manageable file sizes. Previously I was using an Epson flatbed scanner w/ slide attachment which as much slower and could not reliably reproduce quality scans. The PF1800 does though although not perfectly: it has trouble with darker slides which come out very grainy despite various manipulations. Also its CyberView 35 driver in Mac OS X (Panther) is not glitch free: it often mysteriously retrieves an old scan while posting a NEW slide and freezes up occasionally. But it's MUCH cheaper than the rest and it DOES WORK. I've done about a thousand slides with it so far... I should know. Also check out Costco.com for a better price. Happy scanning!

Far Exceeds My ExpectationsBought this camera to replace one I had actually worn out! I run a lot of film through a camera in a year. This point and shoot camera gave me sharp pictures with good color on 400ASA film, indoors with flash. The flash was effective to 17 feet away. I put 200 ASA film in and shot pictures both indoors and out. Results were more than satisfactory. I plan to take this camera to Italy with me instead of my SLR. The zoom is smooth, and the image in the viewfinder is very close to actual picture. I love it! Worth every penny!
Olympus Zoom 170I have owned quite a few cameras in my life, and feel this is one of the best I have come across. The zoom is excellent, and so far, only two rolls of film used, I have had zero failures. The buttons are a little bit small, and I just need to get used to that, the zoom is easy to use. The feel of the camera is good, despite its small size, it fits well in the hand. The point and shoot era is here, and all the years of my using a Nikon 35mm slr seem to be over. This is just too simple and easy. To go back to the changing lenses, carrying all the baggage, etc hardly seems worth the effort if the end result is as good or better.
Great Camera with excellent zoomThis is simply a great camera. I have used it for over 2 years. I bought it at buy.com when it was newly released. We bought it primarily for the zoom. The zoom is simply excellent. This is one of the best point and shoot i have used. I have used Canon and Minolta before. The controls are all conveniontly placed and the zoom works great. I have never missed a picture.
