Camera is easy to load and takes good pictures at first. However the gears that open the lens cover and zoom in and out go bad after after 2 to 5 years and the camera can no longer be used. Each of my daughters had this camera and they both went bad. Fuji will not repair this defect and it costs about $150 to fix. Avoid this camera.

I'm really sorry that the above people had these problems, but these may be just one or two bad apples out of a good crop. And good is certainly a word I'd use to describe the DL290. Straight out of the box you can feel the high quality of the product, unlike some of the cheap and nasty feeling products from other companies. The camera itself is SO easy to use, drop in loading, point and shoot, etc, and has some very advanced features built in too. The picture quality may be sometimes blurred SLIGHTLY, but if you have a steady hand, the outcome is sharp with radiant colours. It has a self timer, and a remote control option for taking pictures too, whilst the range of the Zoom is one of the best for this price catogory. Unfortunatly I lost mine in a party, but Im making my insurance company get me the exact same camera, even though I can get a more expensive camera by another company. My last one served me very well, and its stunning quality mixed with easy of use has convinced me to get another just like it. For the price, you really cannot go wrong.

I have this camera and have been using it for almost a yr. It takes great pictures. I've taken pictures of my kids at the amusement parks going around on a ride and it got a clear picture of a moving subject. It even does pretty good for night pictures too which I was amazed with. Overall it's a great camera. I like the easy loading of this cmaera too.

I agree with another reviewer-the Fuji Camera is excellent, but the charger in the accessory kit was faulty-2 batteries wouldn't even charge. The camera was a gift to our 20 year old son and he was devastated when the 2 rechargeable batteries that worked melted the camera's face plate! Even for free (it was included in the camera price as an extra bonus around Christmas time) it was not a bargain!

I bought this kit as a gift for my husband. Two of the batteries would not even charge, and one of them actually "melted" it's outside casing!!! We are returning the whole kit, and will purchase rechargeables separately. Shame on Fuji for even throwing together such a ... kit!!!

The information with the camara use is where I am finding the most difficult. I will probably go on line to talk with a represenative and have them step me through my problems.

Thinking of buying a camera? How about buying more than a camera? Well I can tell you that the Fuji 60AF Autofocus 35mm Camera, is a lot more than a camera. In fact, I consider it more of a phenomenon. All the exellent features it provides makes the camera incredible. It is so easy to take pictures with this camera unlike others that you have to hit various buttons to make it work. Not only that, the pictures that anyone takes are astounding. My friends four year old son took 4 or 5 pictures with this thing and we all expected those pictures to come out looking very fuzzy. Not only were they not fuzzy, they were beautiful. If you want a good camera, get something else, but if you are looking for an excellent camera, you have come to the right place.

This is an easy to use basic camera. It takes "ok" photos in a simple way.

I purchased one for my friend some time back and it gives excellent results. Its got a timer; which is very handy. Its looks are superb. The problem is the lack of warranty on this particular model. Overall you get Value For Money with this Fuji camera. ...

I got this camera as a gift for my low-tech parents. If you need a no hassle camera to take quality snap shots with--that is it! Easy to operate, to load and unload film and change batteries, the camera makes excellent pictures. My parents love it and use it without having experiencing any frustration. In addition, the camera is light weight and easy to carry around. Its affordable price make it a great companion for trips, where you will not be afraid of droping it, losing it, etc.

For those APS users who love to shoot panoramic format snapshots - here's the film for you. Noticeably sharper and less grain than the 200 and 400 speed offerings from Fuji and Kodak. Fuji's film also tend to have a bit punchier color than Kodak's, which is nice for those vacation landscape shots.

The trade-off is reduced flash range. With 400 speed film, many APS camera's built-in flash will be adequate to 16 feet. With 100 sped film, that range is only half as far. You'll either need to use your mid-roll change (MRC) feature, or be willing to get close and friendly.

Finally, some copywriter at Amazon goofed on the description: the three 3-roll packages I've bought thus far contained 3 rolls of 25-exposure film. By my count, that come to 75 shots - not 90. Still, at this price, a bargain.

I love Fugi film for all my vacation photos. The three pack is great because you get 2/ 25exp and 1 /40exp. The 40exp is great for hikes no need to carry multiple containers of flim.

THE MOST FRUSTRATING ITEM ON THIS CAMERA IS THE SLOW RESPONSE TO TAKE THE PICTURE. PUSH THE BOTTOM, AND WAIT A SECOND OR MORE BEFORE IT RESPONDS . . . MOST OF THE TIME MISSING THE SHOT YOU WANTED TO GET.

This camera is the best one I own. Good features on it. You can change the style in which the date appears, add the time or nothing at all. Theres a feature in which you can take pictures at night and landscape.I would recomend to anyone who wants a good and reasonable priced camera
